Name : Hartley
Address : Well I'm sort of homeless I suppose
Date of birth : Conceived 21st September, born 2nd October, doesn't take long to make a monkey!
Sex : Ye... Male
Occupation : Temporary Editor in charge of In the 'Net.
First game : Pool v Luton, FA Cup reply I think, about 1986.
Favorite memory : Ermm just one? (yep) let me think.......David McCreery's
first game in charge. Arsenal away in the Coca Cola cup a few years
back. We sang "There's only one Dave McCreery, one Dave McCreery, walking
along, singing this song, walking in McCreery wonderland" all bloody
game. I was horse! for about two days after. We thought
he was going to be the next Cyril Knowles. Can I have one more? (Go on
them) Scarborough missing the last penalty of a shot out at the Vic,
also in the Coca Cola cup. I was in the Town End, the noise was mad, Brian
Horne turned round and swung from the cross bar, quite a good swinger
Bri!
All time great Poolie : There's only ONE Joe Joe Joe Allon.
Not only did he hit 35 goals in the 1990/91 season. He was a 100%er
who always played with his heart on his sleeve. Joe was loved at all his
clubs, with maybe only Lincoln not seeing the real Joe.
Any player who loves the club like the fans do will always be taken to heart. But Joe was one in a million.
He was a true star and a die hard Poolie.
One wish Hartley : That Chris Turner
is given the time to complete the job he's started. There's no point in
changing manager again. We've got to back him and give him time. Oh and
can somebody please take the noose of me, its making me very nervous!
